    SATORI

Satori is a moment of “Presence” and getting away from the voice in your mind, the process of thinking, and the manifestation of these as an emotion in the body just for a moment. It is the opening of an inner relief area in the place previously occupied by idea disarray and emotional whiplash before.

The thinking mind does not understand the meaning of Presence and, for this reason, often misinterprets it. It says that you act uninterested and keep your distance, you lack compassion, and cannot form a connection. In fact, there is a connection formed by yourself and this is a deeper connection than the level of thought and emotion. Thus, a real union and alliance beyond forming a connection are in question at that level. You feel the formless essence within yourself and the other person unifies when you are in the serenity of Presence. True love, true interest, and true compassion are knowing that you become “one” with that person.

“If a drop of mindlessness enters your existence, you taste the real one and this taste lingers forever. You cannot forget it…” Osho

All desires are caused by the mind searching for salvation or satisfaction in external things and the future instead of the joy of Existence. I turn into these desires, needs, wishes, dependencies, and hates as long as I have my mind. There is no absolute possibility, unrealized potential, or seed not ratooned yet apart from these and a “Self” apart from the existing one. Then, even my desire for freedom or enlightenment is another desire postponed to the future. Therefore, do not try to become free of desires or “reach” for enlightenment. BE PRESENT IN THE MOMENT. Be there as an observer of the mind.

Nature is the best guide to bring you to the Moment, to your Satori.

People have been in the grip of pain since they entered the realm of time and mind and lost the awareness of Existence, in other words, for thousands of years. They started to perceive themselves as meaningless parts separated from the Source and each other in an unfamiliar universe.

The pain is inevitable as long as you identify with your mind or you are spiritually unconscious.

“The present moment is sometimes unacceptable, unpleasant, or awful.”

It is actually just the way it is. Observe how the mind affects it and what kind of pain and unhappiness is created by living through continuous judging. Watch the mind in action; if you can go outside its patterns of resistance, then you can let the present moment be the way it is. This will give you the taste of INNER FREEDOM AND REAL INNER PEACE INDEPENDENT OF EXTERNAL CONDITIONS.

Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as you have chosen it yourself. Always work together with it, not against it. Render it your friend and ally, not your enemy. This will miraculously transform your whole life.

Your most important and primary relationship in your life is with the moment you are in, or rather, being able to exist in any form it takes and the relationship you have with it. So it’s your SATORI.

If you have a problem with being present at the moment; and accepting the moment as it is, it will reflect in all your relationships and every situation you encounter. Once you have attained a certain level of consciousness (since you have read this type of writing, you almost certainly have), you are in a position to decide what kind of relationship you want to maintain with existence by being in the Moment. Do I want the moment to be my friend or my enemy? The moment is life, and that decision is actually a decision you make over your relationship with life. If you want to be friends with the present moment, welcome it with a smile, whatever it brings to you. When you do this, life will be friendly to you and you will soon start to see the results. People will help you and circumstances will start to cooperate with you. A single decision completely changes your perception of reality.

If you hate your job, shrug off your surroundings, curse past events, or if your internal dialogue consists only of “should” and “shouldn’t” and accusations and accusations, you are arguing with things that have happened and turning the moment, life into an enemy.

In that case, life tells you, “If war is what you want, war will be what you get.” So you always perceive the external reality, which is reflected in your inner state, as the enemy.

The vital question you should often ask yourself is “How is my relationship with the moment?”

Am I just using the moment as a tool to achieve my goals? Do I see it as an obstacle? The “moment” is the single most precious thing you have. It is life. This question also questions your relationship with life. This question is an excellent way to unmask your inner ego and bring you into Satori (Presence). Ask yourself this question often until you no longer need it.

How can you go beyond your broken relationship with the moment?

The most important thing is to see this disorder in yourself, in your actions and thoughts. The moment you accept that your relationship with presence, being in the moment, with Life is broken, it already begins to dissolve. Recognizing this indicates that you have entered a state of presence. Some people start laughing out loud when they realize this. Realizing this gives you the power to choose, and so you decide whether to be friends with life or to remain enemies.

Well, does accepting the “Moment” as the way it is remind you of “Tawakkul?”

Tawakkul is an Arabic word. It is an Islamic concept based on the reliance on God or God’s plans and expressing submission. Those who adopt tasawwuf say; “Be in this world, but not of this world”. It means that you exist in this world and you have to live. You do what you have to do but never bow down to the manipulative and selfish demands of this world and never be enslaved by the ego and self.

“Death is a stripping away of all that is not you. The secret of life is to “die before you die” and find that there is no death.”
